GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER
Begins Thursday with Supper at 6:00 p.m. (ET) Concludes Wednesday with Brunch
Throughout the New Testament, Jesus of Nazareth often speaks of the"deeper things" in the context of a meal. In fact, His detractors refer to Him as "a glutton, a drunkard, and a friend of sinners"! During this retreat, we'll take our place at some of those tables, listening with the heart to the "seasonings" of Jesus' wisdom - of searching, of healing, of belonging, of loving. Finally, we will have the oportunity to "gather up the fragments" and set the table for Eucharist. Come as you are!
Presenter: Rev. Robert Joerger, C.P.
Fr. Robert Joerger is a Passionist priest. He most recently finished a term as Assistant to the Superior General of the Passionists in Rome. He resides in New York City and preaches retreats and missions.
Fee: $330 (includes a $60 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit)

DISCOVERY OF FAITH: THE CHURCH AS AUTHENTIC TEACHER OF FAITH AND MORALS
Registration - 7:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
In this second Annual Institute of Faith Formation, opportunity will be provided to come to know more about God's gift of the Church as we reflect upon questions such as: What's the difference between dogma, doctrine and "theological opinion"? What is meant by "the hierarchy of truths" and "the development of doctrine"? And how does the Church exercise a teaching role with respect to moral questions, e.g. principles for moral decision-making and principles of social justice?
Presenter: Sr. Sara Butler, M.S.B.T.
Sr. Sara Butler is currently professor of dogmatic theology at St. Joseph's Seminary for the Archdiocese of New York. She is a member of the International Theological Commission and author of The Catholic Priesthood and Women: A Guide to the Teaching of the Church.
Fee: $135 (includes a $40 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit)
