The center provides an opportunity for individuals, couples and small groups to come and have an affordable and renewing experience of ‘vacation’ - one less fraught with tensions and traffic, more characterized by hours of time for quiet walks and for meditation, with no disruptions from phone calls and schedules.

The Retreat Center is set on 80 acres of formerly undeveloped land along the Little Colorado River, on Highway 180 between Holbrook (off Interstate-40) and the Apache County seat of St Johns, Arizona.
Our former Schedule of Events has given way to the predominate activities here, individual retreats and small group experiences. Therefore our only 'schedule' is in terms of who has arranged to come and when. Instructional weekends are available if you will gather your own group of participants, and we enjoy sharing our local community activities - such as bi-weekly Sacred Fire Ceremony in the Huichol tradition, nearby in Vernon, and the Concho Farmers Market a few miles from us - with our guests whenever they are available to do so.

We welcome persons of all faiths and spiritual orientations. Long-term hermitage opportunities available by arrangement with the Director.

The vision quest is an ancient rite of passage used for thousands of years by indigenous cultures and mystical societies around the world for spiritual growth and expansion. When a person begins to feel lost, disconnected, dis-empowered, disenchanted, or is floundering around through life without direction, dreams, or goals- it’s time to do a Vision Quest! During your Master's Vision Quest Adventure, you will be introduced to the world of reflections and will meet the most powerful and most important master of your life, yourself! You will also get to know more deeply who you are and who you are not! With all distractions and the noise of daily life removed, the voices around you become silenced.

It is then that you are more able to hear the whisperings of your spirit reminding you why you came here in this life. After your preliminary preparation sessions, you will be spending the next 4 days and nights out in the wilderness, fasting from all things familiar, while immersed in the healing energies of the beautiful Sedona & Verde Valley in northern Arizona, sometimes in legendary secret *caves; located deep in the heart of sacred canyons! (*These caves are so spiritually empowering that it is said that whosoever stays in them for even one night emerges a Shaman, Medicine Woman, or Master!) If you're a tad claustrophobic, we also hold quests in other sacred canyons near wooded streams. Or, you can set up your base camp just outside the caves and use the caves for your meditations. All of your spiritual senses are turned on high. Spiritual gifts, which once may have escaped you, will be like second nature. Intuition becomes amplified beyond anything you can imagine. Insights and epiphanies abound; suddenly, life becomes a whole lot clearer! (Even your ability to manifest things into form becomes accelerated!) Why is the Vision Quest still used to this day? Simple, because it works! Vision Quests are a wonderfully challenging and powerful opportunity for growth, regardless of your age, background, station in life, or belief system.

They are free of any dogma or religious affiliation. The only requirement is a commitment to yourself, your spiritual growth, and a willingness to be transformed. Prior outdoor experience is helpful, but not required! Group Masters Vision Quest Adventures are held year-round for individuals (who may be scheduled with up to three other questers) or small private groups (2-4). The Universe holds the responsibility of putting the right group together for each quest. So know that whoever joins you on this adventure was purposely selected with your highest good in mind. Because of this, a lot of magic happens! We also offer Private Masters Vision Quest Adventures in a more remote location, that assures greater solitude, as your only neighbors will be the wildlife. Worried about snakes, bugs or other critters? Don't be! In addition to other essential camping equipment we supply, each of our questers are also provided with the option of using either a pup-tent or a light-weight Tent-Cot!
