Shambhala Mountain Center offers a rich variety of meditation and yoga retreats. This extended weekend retreat will consist of in depth seminars that focus on how women can become powerful centers of peace. By addressing issues of fear and anger, you can transform your limitations into strengths and tools for personal empowerment. Connect to your spiritual ancestors and learn from women in history who were activists of peace. You will also be guided in the creation of an individual plan of action to become models for peace. Other activities will include Tai Chi, Yoga, and journaling with opportunities for kayaking, rock-climbing, massage, and individual counseling sessions with a spiritual coach. Cost for this retreat is $550 per person. Price includes all meals (starting with dinner on Thursday and ending with breakfast on Monday), beautiful lodging for 4 nights, daily seminars, yoga, tai chi; optional activities are charged separately)

Leader: Mother Clare is the renowned author of “Giving Birth to God: A Woman's Path To Enlightenment”. She is also the co-director of a national spiritual school. Mother Clare worked as a midwife for 18 years and studied in the Yogic, Sufi & eventually the Christian Mystical traditions in which she is now a priest and teacher. She is a Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive training in Jungian Analysis from the Boston Jung Institute. She had a psychotherapy practice alongside her midwifery practice, until in 2001 she ended both in order to work full-time as a spiritual teacher and counselor. Mother Clare has four grown children. She has 8 years of experience leading and directing retreats across the country. Many couples attribute the healing of their relationships and the growth of their mutual love to her skilled assistance.

Kay Peterson is a psychotherapist with more than 15 years of experience facilitating transitions for individuals and groups in conventional, outdoor and wilderness settings. A Certified Wilderness First Responder, she is also a Shambhala Meditation Instructor.
