Francis of Assisi chose a small place for prayer which came to be called PORTIUNCULA or Small Portion. The PORTIUNCULA Center for Prayer fosters experiences that encourage the integration of body, mind, and spirit. We hereby share in Francis' vision of assisting in the renewal of all God's people.

 Nestled in the lovely wooded 50-acre campus of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, the Portiuncula provides a peaceful environment.
Open, grassy knolls, wooded hiking trails and a small creek invite our guests to enter the solitude for study, prayer, and rest.

Rooms are available at The Well and/or in the CSJ Motherhouse for your individual or small group needs. Group sizes from 7- 40 persons. Overnight accommodations limited to 13. Days of prayer and reflection, meetings, workshops, etc. may be arranged.

In this deep, contemplative dialogue, Rev. Bruce Sanguin and Barbara Marx Hubbard will explore the contribution of evolutionary Christianity to the conscious evolution of humanity. How does Jesus reveal to us the next stage of human evolution and the deep meaning of our unique role in an evolving universe? How does sacred scripture reveal the radical potential for transformation through union with the process of creation? How do we experience evolutionary spirituality as a deepening relationship with the emergent Christ? The weekend will weave together input from our presenters,
