Casa Lalita is located in Puerto Morelos, a charming quiet fishing just south of Cancun and is easily accessible from the Cancun airport. With the white, coral sand beach of the Caribbean Sea it is easy to fall in love with this easy going, welcoming village.
The teaching space is a gracious, light filled room with terra cotta tile floors and a view of the Caribbean Sea. Its 975 square feet will hold up to 25 people, depending on the activity. Casa Lalita sleeps up to 14 people. The first floor has 6 sleeping rooms decorated simply with rugs from Oaxaca and small framed images of the area.
Walking on the soft white sand beach of the Caribbean Sea, snorkeling in the world's second largest coral reef, bathing in the sun, or lounging away an afternoon in a hammock are a few of the many options for spending your days.

PORTALS TO THE SELF:
A Women's Circle by the Sea
March 29 - April 5, 2008
Isla Mujeres -the Island of Women- historically has been used for retreat and healing rituals among the Mayan peoples because it powerfully evokes elemental life . . . rich, lush and alive.
On the southern tip of the Island stands an arch . . . an opening in the rocks, a portal, a remnant from an ancient time. This place, sacred to Ixchel, the Mayan Moon Goddess, invites all women to gather here for a time of retreat and replenishment. As we step through her portal, we recommit ourselves to fully enter our beauty-wisdom nature.
On Ixchel's beloved Island, we invite women, each year, to gather together . . . to form a circle, to weave together our stories . . . to become midwives of our dreams and visions.
This beautiful island, Isla Mujeres, encircled by the turquoise Caribbean Sea, will conspire with us . . . breathe with us as we embody our truths, move in us as we find our dance, speak with us as we share our stories. Ixchel herself encourages us to reflect upon and explore new possibilities of connection and joy. Together, we will create a circle of abundance and strength, as we receive Moon stories full of mythic magic.

Storytelling, yoga, movement, water play, guided imagery, and journaling will serve as forms for accessing our psyche's depths. By naming and sharing our gifts in our sacred circle we will be enriched and enlivened, as individuals and as a joyful and potent community of women, committed to healing ourselves, our sisters, and our world.
Our accommodations reflect many aspects of our week, for the retreat space is separate from, yet near, the mainstream of public life at Na Balam Hotel. The rooms are set in the curve of a crescent moon, surrounded by tropical gardens which engender the wild, fertile feminine and offer a glimpse of what it might be like to dwell in a time and place of women . . . of the Great Mother.

Our 2008 retreat, held during the first full moon of the summer, June 24th - July 1st, will focus on owning our inner and outer beauty, learning to receive, and empowering the divine feminine. If you want to get your body, mind and spirit working in total harmony, this is the retreat for you!
INNER BEAUTY
This year, Helida Scian will lead us on a shamanic journey to the center of the feminine in her class, Venus the Irresistible Enchantress. She will help us awaken the life force of Venus, which drives how we give and receive love, affection and sensual pleasure, based on how Venus shows up in our individual astrological charts. The day will include exploration of the Gestalt of our Self Image, Shamanic Drumming, the Transformation Game, and shared projections and inspirations for your future.
OUTER BEAUTY
With the expert guidance of Elaine Dodson and her team, we will have a “Play Day” of Dress-Up, Make-Overs and Goddess Photographs - designed to bring out the outer beauty in each of us!
TRANSFORMATION
The highlight of our retreat will be our initiation at the Pyramid of The Sun and The Moon, led by well-known shaman and healer Eduardo Morales. We will drive to Teotihuacaun, only an hour drive from Tepoztlan, and will spend the day in the City of Pyramids, one of the three most powerful sites on the planet Earth. In Toltec tradition, this ceremony assists us in claiming our divinity and coming into our own personal legend. This will be a major empowerment journey for all that come.
Other activities include the Tibetan Rites, Opening and Closing ceremonies with native Aztec dancer, Sacred Circle Dance, Goddess Celebration, Drumming, the Temazcal Sweat Lodge, special bodywork and healing, Angelic Group Readings, and shopping in the local markets. This journey allows for more time to relax and integrate, not the tight schedule of past retreats.
Accommodations
Your home during this time will be a five star mountaintop hacienda with scenic mountain views, terraced gardens, relaxing pools and quiet reflection spots. The rooms are large and comfortable, but don’t expect any phones or televisions this is a place where you will slow down and listen to your own voice. The hacienda offers first class service, including three gourmet, organic, vegetarian meals, prepared fresh, each day.

"Opening Your Heart to Spiritual Enchantment"
A Retreat with Edemir Rossi
To be announced for 2008
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
We all know that Edemir has a very old soul and a very young spirit. The same can be said of San Miguel de Allende, a relatively unknown gem of a city located in the central highlands of Mexico. Those who discover this charming colonial city are enchanted by its magic, vibrancy, perennial spring climate, and sophisticated elegance. Ranked by both Travel and Leisure and Fortune Magazines as one of the "Top Ten Places to Live in the World", this is a destination that you won’t want to miss!
We will be immersed in the Mexican and Mayan cultures as we work also with Maria Teresa Valenzuela, an indigenous medicine woman and spiritual teacher who will lead us to sacred places in the surrounding areas and share with us her knowledge of Meso-American wisdom, myths and traditions, including the Mayan Prophesies, the Virgin of Guadalupe, and The Day of the Dead. Her colleague, astrologer Gretchen Lawlor, will speak to us about current planetary trends and their spiritual significance.
