Come to a place apart -- a place in the world but, occasionally, not of it.
Transformations Spirituality Center is a peaceful place away from the harried pace of everyday life--a place where people from varied faith traditions and walks of life come to be in the solitude of a retreat or in the company of others.
At our conference and retreat center, we offer spiritually uplifting programs, workshops and conferences; have meeting rental space for up to 200; can accommodate more than 50 overnight guests (double occupancy); and have full food service. Our retreatants can plan their own retreats, or arrange for time with one of our spiritual directors for as much or as little assistance as would make their retreat experience meaningful for them.
Our 55-acre campus includes hiking trails that traverse field, woods, and marshland. In short, Transformations is a place where you can bring your unique and personal spiritual search and find the means for progress on your journey. We hope to see you soon.

The First Years and Beyond Marriage Enrichment Evening
"Why Didn't Anyone Tell Us That?"
Three Proven Strategies to Get and Keep Your Marriage Amazing
Presenter: Tim Hogan, Psy.D.
Print Flyer / Registration Form
Register by: April 23, 2009 / Cost: $40
The First Years and Beyond Marriage Enrichment series at The Retreat Center at St. John's is offering an evening of superb appetizers, desserts and an inspirational talk by marriage expert Dr. Tim Hogan. In his down to earth and humorous style, Dr. Hogan invites couples to graciously come to accept the ways we undermine our efforts to make our marriages amazing, as they were originally created to be.
Dr. Hogan is a clinical psychologist and Certified Imago Relationship Therapist with a passion for helping couples create safety and passion with one another. He is a frequent speaker who creatively combines the wisdom of our Christ-centered faith tradition with new research about how human brains form (and deform!) relationships. Tim has been married for 20 years and lives in Plymouth, Michigan with his wife and three children. His web site is GrowingHealthyPassion.com.
In this presentation, Dr. Hogan will:
- Help couples to create and recreate an amazing marriage.
- Help couples to anticipate and effectively deal with the biggest challenges of the early years of marriage.
- Teach little-known secrets to staying connected, particularly when in conflict.
Help couples to effectively address real, core problems that erode marital friendship.
- Help couples to create a healthy and life-giving spirituality of marriage.
- Teach couples how to increase positivity in their relationship.
This entertaining evening of marriage enrichment is specifically geared for couples married one to seven years and promises to inspire, humor and equip spouses to grow together through the normal challenges of married life.
Come and experience …you don't want to miss this one!
