Japanese Art of Healing: Tools for Wellness
SEIMEI is a Japanese system which utilizes one's life force, or SEIMEI, to facilitate the self-healing of physical or emotional conditions in people, plants and pets. It is a non-touch technique. You can use SEIMEI to relieve acute pain, as a complementary technique for chronic conditions and it is an integrative technique at the higher levels of practice. Results oriented. Bring your stubborn health conditions! Learn to perform one-pont of pain relief, reduce stress, remove stagnation and address emergencies as well as change the food or beverage to make it optimal.

Find Sanctuary in the deep silence of winter as you journey to The Mandala Center for a long weekend of rest, renewal, creativity, and healing for body, mind, and spirit.
Perfect for caregivers, soul-searchers, creative spirits, and anyone seeking solitude, support and time away to relax, dream, hibernate, and plant new seeds for the new year.
The week is designed for individuals who may need quiet time alone and yet meals will be prepared to share in community if you wish. Other daily supportive activities will be offered but participation is optional.
Breakfast and lunches will be light and simple and dinners will be prepared by our kitchen staff to be shared as a group.
Yoga or daily movement class, art as meditation class, a sharing circle and massage (massage only at an additional fee by appointment) will be offered.

Using the methods of Parker Palmer, Cindy Johnson and Donna Bearden will lead you through a series of exercises designed to help you listen to your positive, life-giving, creative voice. Through words, clay, collage, movement, quiet spaces, and the practice of safe circles for reflection and questions, you will learn ways to honor the inner spirit that longs for expression. You will leave this retreat renewed and with a better understanding of your own natural creative processes.

We will also explore the seven chakras, as an ancient healing system to tap into the deeper energy system of the body and create a "medicine bag" to contain our "self-health" intentions.
