A Course In Miracles Study Group

Date: Monday Mornings Hours: 9:30 AM

Whether you are new to the Course or been at it for years, if you would like to study ACIM, come join us. Just bring yourself and ACIM book if you have one. The basic concept of the Course is that we are all equal Spiritual Beings, connected to our Source. The Course is here to assist us in releasing our attachment to guilt, judgment and fear, and to realize that love is who we are, and love is the only thing that is real. We explore concepts of the Course such as:

* If you will accept yourself as God created you, you will be incapable of suffering.
* What is God's belongs to everyone, and is his due.
* Spirit knows no difference between having and being.
* Sin is defined as "lack of love".
* There is no order of difficulty in miracles.
* Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES JOYOUS INSPIRATION GROUP with Rev. Penelope Poor

Wednesday Afternoons, April 2 & 16, 4-6 PM

"A universal theology is impossible but a universal experience (of the peace of God) is not only possible but necessary." ACIM - TM - pg. 77

Come and join in gladness & rejoicing as we share our remembering of the truth of God's everlasting Love through the curriculum of A Course in Miracles. Learn that "There is nothing to fear." (lesson 48)and that we are "...entitled to miracles." (lesson 77).

A Course in Miracles is an educational course, an inspired scripture, a path of enlightenment and a manual for interpersonal healing and harmony. It is a self- study course that can be done in a year but often becomes a daily inspiration and way of life. It is not necessary to believe the ideas or even like them. A small willingness to see things differently is all we need. With Holy Spirit's guidance the process will be perfectly suited to all who come.

Having your own copy of ACIM is helpful.

Rev. Penelope Poor (AKA P. Peace) is a minister of God's Love.

Buddhism: A Joyous Science of Kindness and Wisdom

May 23-26, 2008

Sharon Salzberg and Robert Thurman.

The Buddha discovered that the path to happiness flowed out of understanding the reality of our lives, such as our interconnection with all other beings. From this state, love and compassion arise naturally. This is why Robert Thurman calls Buddhism “a joyous science of the heart.” Meditation and respect for life are the foundations of Buddhist practice. “Kindness is compassion in action,” says Sharon Salzberg.

To know your mind is to begin to transform your mind. To change your actions is to begin to transform the world. Robert and Sharon will draw from Buddhist texts and traditions and from their personal insights and experiences to help us awaken from the daily trance of fear and anxiety. Through guided meditations, talks and discussions, we will learn specific techniques to cultivate lovingkindness, unveil inner wisdom, and turn compassion into action.

Sharon Salzberg is cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) in Barre, Massachusetts. She is one of America's leading spiritual teachers and authors, and has been a student of Buddhism since 1971, leading meditation retreats worldwide since 1974. Sharon's latest book is The Force of Kindness, published by Sounds True. She is also the author of Faith: Trusting Your Own Deepest Experience, published by Riverhead Books; Lovingkindness: The Revolutionary Art of Happiness and A Heart as Wide as the World, both published by Shambhala Publications; and co-author with Joseph Goldstein of Insight Meditation: A Step-by-Step Course on How to Meditate (audio), from Sounds True. For more information about Sharon, please visit: www.SharonSalzberg.com

Robert Thurman is Professor of Indo-Tibetan Studies at Columbia University, President of Tibet House U.S., a popular lecturer on Tibetan Buddhism, the translator of many philosophical treatises and sutras, and author of numerous books including the national bestseller, Inner Revolution: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Real Happiness; and Anger, the fifth book from a series on the Seven Deadly Sins, offered by The New York Public Library and Oxford University Press. His most recent book is titled The Jewel Tree of Tibet: The Enlightenment Engine of Tibetan Buddhism published by Free Press, a division of Simon & Schuster, Inc.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS - A Way out of the Wilderness of the Mind

For those who need to be 'outside' in order to get 'inside.' From: Friday, June 06, 2008 To: Sunday, June 08, 2008

All of us have abundance within that is untapped. The aim of this retreat is to encourage the flowering of these qualities in our lives, using imagery from nature, silence, moving meditations, reflective inquiry, hands on gardening activities, and creativity. All are welcome! You don't need to be an experienced gardener to experience and nurture the deeply rooted values that make our lives so meaningful, while weeding out the habits that waste our energy. Group activities such as conscious gardening, forest walks or grooming of walking trails, gently supported by meditation practice, and time alone with Nature, in the deep green of springtime.

Loving Means Never Losing
Explore your relationship for a weekend...

Change your relationship for a Lifetime
A Couples Retreat with Chris Rosenthal M.S., LMHC

Date: September 5th - 7th, 2008

Cost: Early Registration Fee $750 per couple (includes lodging, meals and workshop)

When we enter into relationships, we want to feel loved, to feel safe, to feel understood. What happens all too often is we end up feeling unloved, unsafe and misunderstood. Our loving, passionate team of two becomes a battle for who's right, who's wrong. Wounds experienced long ago come to the surface and we aren't sure how to get our needs met. So we continue to give up who we are, piece by piece. We are no longer authentic in our relationships. The spontaneous joy is missing.

In our weekend retreat for couples, we will explore taking the ME [my ego] out of our relationships and expanding the US [united spirit]. We will explore our ability to communicate in a harmonious and loving way, expanding our ability to create a safe place in which to allow the authentic self to flourish.

Arrive Friday by 6pm for supper and depart Sunday at 2pm after lunch.

Chris has been coaching couples for 16 years, bringing her therapeutic experience and her psychospiritual wisdom to promote the desire in each to seek the highest in themselves. The resulting release of what no longer serves them, allows for the embracing of a new paradigm of emotional intimacy and harmony.

For more information about Chris visit "meet the owners".
For registration, contact Chris chris@harmonyhillretreat.com or 1-877-278-6609
