Women’s Weekend Retreat – Lent: Time of Surrender

This retreat will focus on accepting what is, living in the present moment, letting go of what can’t be changed, and saying YES to God.

It is an invitation to come apart with other women on the journey of life and be nourished and nurtured. The time will include input, silent reflection, dialogue, and prayer ritual.

WEEKEND RETREATS

JRH offers a wide variety of weekend retreats throughout the year. Some retreats focus on a specific topic. Others are designed for particular audiences or groups. All of our weekend programs offer retreatants an opportunity to pray, learn and reflect in the peaceful beauty of Jesuit Retreat House.

Most weekend retreats begin with supper on Friday evening and end with Mass on Sunday morning. Some programs are only one night. They finish on Saturday afternoon.

30 Day Directed Retreats

JRH welcomes individuals and groups that are interested in making the complete 30-day retreat outlined in the Spiritual Exercise of St. Ignatius of Loyola. One 30 day retreat period is scheduled each year during the summer. Other times may be possible. Call (440-884-9300) or email (jrhcleve@worldnet.att.net) the JRH office to discuss scheduling. The cost is $1400, which includes a spiritual director and stipend, a private, single room and all meals.

Triduum Retreat: the Life-giving Choices of Jesus

During Jesus’ Life, and especially during Holy Week, Jesus gave us an example of how to choose out of our faith convictions. This is not always easy, but it is what gives the world life. Holy Week is a good time to look at our everyday choices in the light of those of Jesus.

The Triduum Retreat will begin at 3:00 pm on Holy Thursday and ends on Holy Saturday before the evening meal. Retreatants are invited to attend services in the Motherhouse Chapel and are welcome to stay through Easter morning.

Event overview: The personally directed retreat provides the opportunity for time away from the usual activity of life to be quiet, to pray, to reflect. The atmosphere of peaceful quiet allows you to enter into a sustained silence in order to pray more deeply, listen more carefully, and respond more fully to God's movement within. Each retreatant meets daily with a spiritual director. All Quiet Directed Retreats run from Sunday to Saturday. Registration deadline one week prior to retreat.
