The retreats offered by the Institute use various models and teaching methods that we developed over a number of years. They have been tested and refined in our work with individuals, couples, and organizations. The design provides profound opportunities for participants to understand themselves and their relationships in the realms of spiritual growth, healing and improved well-being both personally and professionally. Many of the programs introduce our model for Critical Life Skills. This model is based on a foundation of building strong relationships through which we can develop effective skills in communication, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Growth in these areas can be the best prevention against crisis that can damage relationships and undermine personal and professional well-being.
General Information
All retreat programs begin at 7:00 pm on Friday evening and end after lunch on Sunday (1:30 pm). Participants can check in after 3:00 pm on Friday.
The cost of the retreat, including meals and accommodation is $229 for individuals and $375 for couples. Single rooms, if available, are an additional $100 for the two night stay. A deposit of $50 is required at the time of your reservation. Please call to register.

- TWELVE-STEP SPIRITUALITY
March 26-28
This weekend retreat is for members of AA, Al-Anon, other Twelve Step recovery groups, and for those interested in learning about the twelve steps spirituality. We will look in particular at how these Steps, that were originally written for alcoholics, can be applied to anyone's evryday life and how, in turn, "living the Steps" will impact every facet of our lives.
Presenter: Sr. Linda Fischer, A.S.C. Sr. Linda is a professed member of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Columbia, Pennsylvania. A teacher by profession, Sr. Linda left the classroom in 2005 and since then has been involved in full-time Twelve-Step retreat ministry.
Fee: $150 (includes a $40 non-refundable deposit to hold reservation due 2 weeks prior to program.)
- WALKING ON WATER: HEALING THE PETER WITHIN US
June 25-27
Within each of us there is a Peter: one who tries to walk on water in life's storm and fearfully sinks. We find our hollowness as we try to please others and swing from angrily boasting ("I will follow you even if no one else does!") to shamefully lying ("I don't even know the man!"). We get discouraged as we fish all night and catch nothing. We struggle with how to repair broken relationships and to say, "You know that I love you." We, in our second half of life, need to make Peter's journey in order to experience Jesus healing our fear, anger, guilt, shame and grief to transform us from "Simon" thje broken to "Peter" the rock, most gifted disciple.
Presenter: Fr. Matthew Linn, S.J. Fr. Linnn is a member of the Jesuit community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has written extensively and given retreats on themes of healing all over the United States as well as internationally.
Fee: $150 (includes a $40 non-refundable deposit to hold reservation, due 2 weeks prior to program.)

The mission is to provide directed, interactive, and spiritual retreats that are immersed in both the beliefs of Christianity and the principles of the 12 Steps of recovery for adults with addictions. Retreat participants will begin, renew, or refresh their recovery journeys through deepening their relationship with God, nature, and the heart and soul of self in a serene setting away from the demands of every day life.
Why Chrysalis?
The butterfly has been a symbol of transformation and new life in both the Christian faith tradition and in the recovering community.
A retreat is a wonderful opportunity to be transformed through rest and reconnection with God and one's inner strength.
Who should attend?
- People in recovery who are looking for an opportunity to deepen their spirituality through Christian faith.
- Recovering Christians who are looking to strengthen their recovery from addictions through a more active understanding and application of the 12 Steps.
- People who are beginning to address their addictions wanting to learn more about recovery and to learn from others who are maintaining sobriety. Please note that one must be at least one month substance-free in order to attend. This allows for any withdrawal to be completed.
- Those seeking the rejuvenation that a retreat experience would provide.
- Seekers who wish to learn more about the Christian faith and how it might transform their lives.
- Sponsors wanting to have a bonding experience with their sponsees.
- Support groups seeking to strengthen their effectiveness as a group.
- People who enjoyed church camp as a kid and for those who never had a chance to go.
Upcoming retreats:
Come to me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.

Enota Glace is a place of magic and beauty, nestled on a mountainside thirteen and one-half miles from White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia. The atmosphere is filled with Grace and wonder - a perfect setting for introspection and self-development. Currently there is a classroom, a picnic area, hiking trails, a playground, and a place for ceremony. The miniature lighthouse is the inspiration for our centre's logo. It represents the intention with which the centre is being created: to assist all who would follow their own Light in an energy of humility and Grace.
