Many people sense that they want and “are” something more than the busyness of each day. They sense a need to step away from the pace of life and nurture their soul.

To nurture one’s soul is to become more aware of God and to respond to that awareness with mindfulness and attention. It is opening oneself to His love and peace, and finding rest. Wisdom says time “away” is needed. Jesus emphasized this need when He said to His disciples, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.”

Canterbury Retreat House provides a space for you to step away, to slow down, and to reacquaint yourself with God’s voice and heart.

Seeing Who You Really Are Workshop

with Richard Lang

May 24/25 2008
Richmond, Virginia
headexchange@gn.apc.org

The regular fee is £60 ($120).
Registration

The workshop is on Saturday May 24 from 2pm to 6pm, and on Sunday from 9:30am to 1pm. It will be recorded (audio only) with the possibility that an edited version will be broadcast at a later date.

The Headless Way offers you a practical, user-friendly way to see Who you really are. This method was developed by the philosopher Douglas Harding. At the heart of this approach are the Experiments - awareness exercises that guide your attention directly to your deepest identity. Visit our web site for more information.

Seeing Who You Really Are

Who are you really? Richard Lang will guide you through experiments invented by the philosopher Douglas Harding. These experiments test an amazing claim about you - at centre you are absolutely different from what you appear to be from a distance. From several metres you are human, but at centre you are not – you are Awake No-thing that is capacity for everything. Put in more traditional language, in appearance you are human but in reality you are divine. Your True Identity is God, Buddha-Nature, the One Self – choose your name! Richard will not ask you to believe this – he will invite you actually to look into your centre for yourself to see if this claim about you is true. And he will show you how to look into your centre so that you can, during this workshop, see your True Nature. This discovery can change your life. When you see Who you really are, you become one with the Source of all things. What greater discovery is there than this?

Richard Lang first discovered Who he really is when he attended a workshop with Douglas Harding in 1970. Since then he has devoted his life both to staying awake to his True Nature and to sharing Harding’s experiments that make so available this profoundest of discoveries. He has two books published - Seeing Who You Really Are and Open To The Source. He has written and compiled the content for the website www.headless.org He lives in London, co-ordinating the Shollond Trust – the UK charity set up to share this work. He also works as a psychotherapist, and teaches Tai Chi and Five Rhythms Dance.

Saturday 11 am to Sunday 6pm
Summer Solstice Open House Retreat at the Earthwalk Center.

Featuring a Natural Communion Immersion Experience
kayaking on the Wild and Scenic Rappahannock River.
Eckhart Tolle describes several Portals to Now in his book Power of Now. In this retreat we will loose our minds, come to our senses, and learn to experience and explore the energies of nature and our own energy body. Practicing presence allows us to significantly alter our state of consciousness. From this level of direct experience, we discover a life giving world of generosity, support and love. As we put into practice the power of now we enter into the Garden. This is a lovely way to welcome in the Summer!

Saturday at the Earthwalk Retreat Center with a natural beauty and power that is palpable to everyone who comes here.
Sunday you will experience the peace and natural magic of floating down the Rappahannock River and learn to shape shift and follow the flow. Experience the effects of a day long conscious feast of Sun and Water, Sky and Forest.
(The River Communion can be done by itself if you have already taken a Natural Communion Introduction. You need to arrive at the Outfitters by 7:30 AM so unless you are local you may still want to come down and stay over Saturday night.)

THE CLARION CALL: LEADERSHIP AND GROUP LIFE IN THE AQUARIAN ERA

PRESENTER: Susan Trout
COST: $300

Based on the third book of Susan’s trilogy, The Clarion Call: Leadership and Group Life in the Aquarian Era (to be published in Fall, 2008), this two-day training explores the practical application of a template for leadership and group life in the early years of the Aquarian 2120-year cycle. The material expands on the teachings found in Born to Serve: The Evolution of the Soul through Service (1997) and The Awakened Leader: Leadership as a Classroom of the Soul (2005). Among the topics that The Clarion Call addresses are: challenges at the threshold of the Aquarian Era; Inner Leader, feminine and masculine energies; Group Soul; soul lessons, soul development, energies and shadow of groups; and ways to practice Aquarian leadership and group life.

Leaders and groups have an unprecedented opportunity to articulate and manifest a new model of leadership and group life as humanity moves out of the Piscean evolutionary cycle into the Aquarian. They can leave behind old values and social structures and move into new ways of leading in the world: transitioning from Piscean leadership based on the dynamics of parent/child, higher/lower, masculine-energy-dominate relationships to Aquarian leadership centered in inner authority, partnership, group consciousness and masculine and feminine energies.

Aquarian leadership and group life requires inner awareness, relatedness, and synthesis as its driving force. In this paradigm, leadership and groups educate themselves about the heart and mind and their relationship to action in the world. Women and men share responsibility for decisions and participate equally in matters of national and international importance. Unity within diversity, spiritual attainment, and world peace are potential fruits of the 2120-year span of the Aquarian Era.
